We are JUICE, a World of Warcraft guild on the Stormscale server. A determined group of elite members, we strive for perfection in all aspects of gaming life, be it during the heat of battle or the glory of post-game chat. Established in April 2004, JUICE is a guild with a relentless pursuit of excellence. We exist to fulfill one underlying goal: to be at the forefront of content, discovery and conquest. This goal will be pursued in a mature and highly organized environment, among people who find enjoyment in more than just min/maxing their character`s advancement. JUICE is a highly focused team-oriented guild, with common goals, gameplay preferences and play schedules. It is not a place for loners, newbies, strict roleplayers, socializers, AFKers, or weekend warriors.
World of Warcraft is a game filled with hundreds of hours of interesting content, many challenging raid encounters and an immense variety of rare treasures. How you experience these encounters, and the rate at which you experience them, is entirely a personal preference. JUICE consists entirely of those players who wish to be pioneers of this content and masters of their respective character classes. We are not a guild for those without a generous sense of adventure, an undying thirst for advancement, or the lack of patience and maturity required to be an effective guild on Stormscale.
JUICE is composed of veteran players from various Massive Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Games (MMORPGS). Our RPG beginnings go as far back as the original King’s Quest series and old-school MUDs, to more recent games like Ultima Online, Everquest, and Final Fantasy XI. Most of us have experienced the highest levels of play in these games, and have been members of elite endgame guilds of all kinds. These guilds were powered by the skill and motivation their members displayed, and JUICE follows in these footsteps.
JUICE is devoted to the cause of the Horde, and will only accept members who have pledged allegiance to this army. Stormscale is a Player vs. Player server, and JUICE strives to dominate our Alliance opponents. We are ruthless in the execution of our PvP goals, although we do abide by the rules and standards the game sets forth.
As was the case in Everquest, Final Fantasy XI, and the other games our membership came from, World of Warcraft content progression will be heavily raid oriented. For any guild to excel in an environment such as this, forward-thinking policies must be developed and strictly enforced to promote its long term welfare.
Because the game is designed around a raid size of 25 players, the guild will balance its roster with the intention of supporting at least one efficient raid force. A recruitment cap will be instituted to prevent a surplus in members, and will be balanced by class.
In World of Warcraft, the power and desirability of equipment scales on a risk/reward design philosophy. Encounters which include the most risk are almost exclusively raid encounters, and as such the loot dropped in these encounters is the best one can attain. Because the number of people attending a raid far exceeds the amount of loot dropped, a system must exist to equally distribute this loot to those in attendance. This system is implemented as we progress into the game. Please note that these loot systems will be designed with the regular JUICE member in mind - applicants and trial members will NOT be eligible for rewards until they become full members, unless specified by leadership during the course of an encounter.
JUICE is managed by a guildmaster, a group of officers, and class leaders. All officers and class leaders will be appointed by the guildmaster.
The guild’s leadership has a long history together, having been guildmates and having experience in leading highly successful guilds in both EQ and Final Fantasy XI. Their dedication to
Our goal is to become the dominant force on Stormscale. To attain this goal, we require the following from our members:
- Play often, on a decent system and with a stable connection. Guild members are expected to play and keep up with the guild average for levels, gear, and quest completions. We also expect them to attend our events on a regular basis. Members that constantly disconnect or cannot attend events due to unstable conditions are of no use to us.
- Be a Competitive Badass. We play on a PvP server – that means we will kill, and we will be killed. Get used to it, and better yet, learn to love it. Improve yourself constantly. Strive to be the best player possible, with the best gear, the best skills, in the best guild. The guild will help you attain these, but self-motivation is just as important.
- Listen to leadership. We’ve done this before. We know what we’re doing. Ideas and suggestions are always welcome, but there’s a right way and a wrong way to communicate.
- Don’t be a whiny pussy bitch. Again – there’s a right way and a wrong way to communicate. If something that happens makes you SO unhappy that it can’t be resolved, you have the right to leave at any time, and we have the right to end your membership at any time.
- Know when to be a loudmouth, and when to stfu and pay attention. Self-explanatory.
- Play by the game rules. Banned, suspended, or deleted players are of no use to us.
- Get along with your guildmates. You don’t have to love every single one, but it helps!
- Show loyalty and dedication to JUICE. Again, self-explanatory.
Applicants and trial members will need to meet additional requirements, usually declared on a class-by-class basis during recruitment waves. Applicants and trial members will also be unable to receive loot from raids and events until they become regular members, unless specified by leadership during said event.
